It is November and the outside is cool, tomato plants have succumbed to the cold and the sweaters are out. I love this time of year and spring. When we transition from one weather to the other. I love the concerts, excitement of food, presents, and feelings. I love the opportunity this time of year gives us to visit, prepare, and be with those we love.

The fall is finally arriving in our fair city. The temps have gone down to 40 degrees at night. Dad is suffering from a cold, I am pushing through all kinds of stuff. My fall concerts are over and were very good. My choir is suffering but getting better. They are nice kids with a few crazies that have just checked out. I am full boar on Primary. Love it and love my new counselors and sec. We are doing wonderful things. My second counselor is fabulous with the scouts. Love scouts...they rock. Wish I could be in their stuff once in a while.
We have a new blog, prep school blog that is beginning to show people how to eat more whole foods. Very cool. I am busy with lessons and stuff but since we turned off the television, life has been in novels. I have read about 6. We watch our favorite shows on the laptop. They are A Gifted Man, The Good Wife, The Mentalist, and NCIS. So nice to see them without the commercials all over the place.
We love seeing the grandkids on skype and we love having Macy come home once in a while. Life is going along. The bishop had a fireside last night...communications. Dad was in bed, I was there and we need to have that conversation. Be sure and ask your spouse how things were dealt with in their home and then compare your homelife with that. Communication is tricky but good.
Off to my next lessons....Happy Halloween...I am a witch today.

2011 School has begun

We have started the new school year here at Dixie Middle and Tonaquint Intermediate. The kids have their violins, the basses are loaded, and the year has one week under it's belt. There are some great kids and the few Yahoo's that make life interesting.
I spent the weekend grading papers from the violin pass out last week and now caught up to start teaching again.
Stephen has adjusted to his new schedule of Weekends at the DC and we are so glad he sleeps nights again. Although, he does get in my way of taking over the whole bed...
We are turning off the TV in two weeks and shutting down the phone, the bug man, the storage unit, gleaning out the garage and stuff so we can cut down on expenses and hit the debt ceiling this year.
We have had a great year marrying off Lindsay, gaining two granddaughters, a son in law, and a gun cabinet....hello! We miss them but Macy says she is spending next summer in Germany with her sister and her new family.
I will just teach lessons and trying to understand the Primary better. We have our Sacrament Meeting Presentation in one month...so glad to see it coming. The kids know the songs and they are just darling. Primary has been good and I am learning alot about myself.
Spent the summer doing emotional clearings in the emotion code and naet. It has calmed down my sugar addiction substantially.
We are doing well and staying close to the spirit...
We love our grandchildren and wish they were here. Miss them terribly. But we love skype. Yesterday I was gone from the house all day and missed Alorah's birthday. Hope she is glad to be 9...It is a great age and she is ready for school. We have a book coming to her and getting ready to make some great christmas gifts this year with the excess material we have.
All in all, with the world in chaos, we live in peace for now. God is with Us.

We are so eager for the year to be over for then, we are off to Pittsburg for a few days to honor Micah, David, Katelyn, Jachin, Macy, a bunch of birthdays and anniversaries and have fun with the fam. This is the Summer 09 picture of the family. It was great having everyone here for 36 hours. David flew in and out. I went back with Julie on a late night flight...Ahh...three kids is tough but we made it. Thank you Southwest Airlines. Just got back from a great visit with them again for fall break. Had a fabulous time celebrating a few hundred birthdays. Julie was the perfect hostess again. Now we plan for T Day and Christmas. It is flying by quite fast now. OOOHAW!

Summer is Over

The summer is over. The weather hasn't let up but the monsoon has come and we are faced with school and the regular schedules we have all avoided for the last 10 weeks. School began with many interesting things. I found doing two schools is much easier. I found that guitar class is a nice afternoon. I also found that sometimes the kids think they know more than I and though I resent it, I am glad they have a mind to think with! I have facebooked my summer away leaving undone projects. Spent alot of time next to the TV and watched my fill of "what not to wear" and "House reruns"... Lessons were minimal and I am just getting back to full fledged lessons. It is interesting. We joined the local gym. I have spun and I have swum. Dallin into his clinicals and has begun working on live bodies. Macy has begun her senior year. All her friends from summer played long and hard. We started the summer with a Keith gathering and we end with school supply gathering and new adventures we did not plan. Macy has been on the drill team for two years and began her third summer when the drum major moved. The band asked her to lead them and she had to make a very difficult decision. Many were called and asked for advice. She prayed, fasted and made the decision to move on to the band and leave drill. This will open up the play, swim team, and other pursuits she was hoping for. Her senior year will be great.
We skype regularly with the grandkids and miss them terribly. We miss our neighbors, the Taylors and look forward to their mission being over next summer. It will be good to have them home again. I planted a small container garden which I forgot about when school started...poor thing, they are all wilted and gone. So next summer I can plant again and get rolling better on the tomatoes, peppers, and whatever else I can grow.
Stephen moves for the next nine or ten weeks to the Blooming store for renovations. He will be out of the warehouse...into airconditioning. My parents are coming home tomorrow from their summer home in Rhode Island. We hope to see Ryan, Diana and Conrad on labor day. Stephen had a big birthday party over the summer and mine will be quiet and just a nice four day weekend.
Looking forward to Next May when we will all go to Pennsylvania for all the grads. Macy, Micah, David, and Dallin will all be graduated. So we hope for a big reunion with all of our family in that neck of the woods...

We have had some unusually cool weather for this time of year. But is has been so welcome...because we know in only a few short weeks it will be SUMMER and 110 degrees.
The windows are open, the skies are blue and the grandkids are coming in May. So life is great. Only six weeks of the year left... then the summer time of scrapping and whatnot. Get ready for next year.

10 Days Old

Well, the new year is 10 days old and I got the christmas decs done, stephen got the front gardens cleared out, I got my square for block of the month cut out, and hung up all my clothes from the holiday that were neatly stacked on the ironing board in the closet and then fell down...all over the floor and I just ignored them. We had a wonderful holiday. Last night Macy had a flute solo in the county honor band concert.
She did really well. Was very proud of herself. Well, church today is now at 9am and we are sooo sad. It is way too early for us that love to eat eventually, read the paper, study our lesson, make a few phone calls, etc. So we get up at 7 and hustle to be rewarded later with a leisurely nap and lazy afternoon.
School is back in full swing and we are just crankin' up the heat for all the competitions that are in store for us. Crazy times but good. Well, take care all. Have a great January. I am putting up the Valentine decos today. Let's get with it all.

It is December, a musicians' busiest time of year. Three concerts tomorrow and three on Tuesday make it crazy. But... we are having fun yes? No decos up. No presents bought or wrapped. No worries, be happy. I have food and a place to lay my head. I love my bed.
So we say hellos to all you. We loved seeing Aunt Mary and Uncle Paul. We loved holding all three new baby boys Conrad, Asher, and Benson. We loved being with family the last two weeks. We loved the memorial of John Francis Frontone. Kathy, Kevin, Jonae, Terae, and Jakin, all have outdone yourselves. Don, Cindy, Katelyn, Seth and Ethan...you guys are amazing. Loved staying with you. Also to the spouses...Justin, Janelle, it was great to see you and meet Audrey for the first time. Missed Crystal and Marcus. Hope you are all ok. Good luck at the wedding Katelyn and Paul. We are excited for your new journey.
Can't wait to see Rosemary and Dad for the holiday...hope to be organized by then...maybe put up a tree...or a light...or a snowman....

Well, we are about to do mid-terms already! Yikes. So I have several papers to grade and some concerts to prepare for.
It is crazy but interesting. Trying to get Christmas scores going...too.
I must start them just after Oct.9th. We have had a good start to sept. my birthday was uneventful...just a normal day. I got a new bathingsuit that was desperately needed. Ryan got me a new bike with his bonus money and tomorrow we will go to dinner with friends and Lindsay is coming home again, second time in a month.
I have new meds to deal with, and trying to get blood counts down for the satisfaction of the docs.
We are just going along. We just had Conrad for the weekend and it was great. He is starting to smile and respond so cute.
Anyway, looking forward to November. Got the days off but need a sub for the job.

Goodbye to the Taylors!

Our tears flowed this am as we said goodbye to the Taylors. They are now on their way to the land of Greece. Holy Cow. We will miss them terribly. Two years of no one to visit. We wish them well in their new adventure. Brother Taylor said he will be taller when he gets back and Sister Taylor says that she will be thinner. Who knows what we will be... married? graduated? fat?thin?older?younger? Two years is a long time but it goes fast...let the time go fast beginning now.
I will miss you both terribly. Thank goodness Ms Utah is done with her rein and we don't need to borrow your TV for a while.

Meet Conrad Shield Keith. He is about 7 pounds now and is one week old. He is adorable and has the saddest little cry you have ever heard. He has had his first bath and is read to take on the world...but only after a moment with his mommy who feeds him constantly. He is the smallest Keith baby so far and is long, lanky, and has great Feet...so cute. We loved holding him all weekend. Happy Independence Day to Conrad...you are out and have more space to move around in.

The table is covered in pictures from all year. I even have the pictures from building the house!
Sarah Keith has come over and now she is starting her first year of marriage pics. It is crazy but very fun. We have gone through the first round which is getting the pics cropped and mounted with wallpaper and cut outs. Then we start the second round of doo dads and quotes, journaling etc. It is quite the feat and I haven't even started the calendars yet. The deadline of June is about to be done. So it is a race to the finish. It is easy to do as it is 106 degrees outside and this is just an easy thing to do in the air conditioning. Today was the Gough baby funeral and Sarah's baby shower. Tonight is dinner and card games... awe it must be summer.
Waiting for the babies to come, Lindsay and Tandy to drive by, and lessons to come and go. It is a good time. I get up early and go to the pool, ride my new bike...and cardio with the Jamming queen...why isn't life easier? Above is a pic from Zion National Monument. We call it home.

Going to Nauvoo tomorrow and play for missionaries March 9th at 7pm CDT. Should be great fun. Going to visit John and Don and families. We are doing well and excited that tomorrow is spring break. Flying to Peoria, Ill. Friday night. Macy competing this weekend for flags and Dallin is busy in school doing message work. We need to get him a table soon...he will need one.
Two grandbabies this year...How incredible is that? Lindy Lunt is getting married! Nancy told me last night. hang in there as the weather gets warmer, I get more ambitious. Got three quilt tops done and my girlfriend is getting a long arm we can go and enjoy!

In looking at Julie's blog I thought it was great and here we go
I remember in first grade I was sitting in the front row on the right of Miss ?'s class, my mind is gone. She was calling out names and when she said Robin Frontone there were two of us that said here...Robin Black, a guy and me. I was appalled to see there was another Robin and it was a guy! Then I went home and told my mother to change my name right now! She laughed at me and told me the story of Robin Hood and then I asked her what was she thinking naming me a guy name?

My first love was in 8th grade. It was Ed Coleman. He and his wife live in northern Utah now. We used to play cards on friday night with them. We did the dances in junior high. He was a band guy and his sister was in orchestra with us. She was in love with Jim Bird in high school. He went on his mission and was at my baptism! He died three months later of a heart condition. It broke Sydney's heart. But she is now married with a boat-load of kids.

I was really good friends with Dennis Barr in HS. From sophie year up. I never really loved him but liked his brother really well. He was a bass player. Well, he moved on and I met Bryce McCrea. Man, he was so cool. He was in German class with me and we were in the club together. His folks were from Ohio. His mom worked for the school district office. Anyway we got to see each other in Durango, Colo a few years ago when he apologized for being a jerk in HS.
He kinda dumped me for someone else. He is divorced and taking care of his mom in Apache Junction.

In college I had various friends who were boys but no boy friends. We were running around in groups so we just enjoyed each other's company besides all my music colleagues were basically gay guys. I loved Doug who played the organ and took me to gay bars.

I met Stephen at Church. I had just been baptized in Reno...and gone back to sign up for an institute class. Stephen was teaching the sunday school lesson. I was in the front row paying attention and day dreaming what a nice guy he seemed to be. Well, he thought I was not paying attention and within two weeks we were called to teach family history together because I had just handed in my four generation program.
We dated a few times and then we met other people and dated for a while cause it felt wierd.
then we got back together. He wined and dined me on pot pies and water, walked me around the temple in Mesa a few times and froze my toes off then we went back to ASU and he proposed to me...I thought he just wanted to be good friends...
Well, we are, he is, and I am totally happy to be a couple, too into it to quit and too tired to make a fuss. Tonight we go to Zion Park Inn and have a weekend together. Woohoo! We are quilting.
Next year he is incharge of the activity so we are going this year to pay attention.
Isn't life grand???

Here are some cellists I have met or loved...
Rostropovitch and I have hugged as well as Casals. These guys were amazing and I really enjoyed knowing them in my youth. Also Janos Starker and Yo Yo Ma. Atsumi brought them to Mesa and Tempe so we could get up close and personal with them. Bottom picture is of Isaac Stern, Artur Rubenstein, and Piatagorsky. I have seen all of them also.

The new year has arrived! 2008...what do we have in store?
Lindsay and I went to Arizona to see Grandparents and visit old friends.
Many nice visits. We saw Betty Anderson, Gladys McGarey, Sheila Bodine,
Marissa and THS school chums, visited Rexann's Grave.
It was a bittersweet time.
We had a blowout on the highway above Cameron...
got help immediately and had a couple of new tires installed in Flag.

The decos are still up today and hope to take them down in the next few days.
Macy painted her room while we were gone. My, it is so colorful.
David had his birthday. Stephen is going to Erie soon.
I am looking forward to a weekend in Zions in Feb.
All doing well so far...

I have been tagged and this is the question...what do I say? There were no instructions as to what questions I must answer and so I am at a loss except to say...I love my family. I stay busy. I love to read and am presently reading eat,pray,love by gilbert. I enjoy scrapbooking, traveling, and playing grandma. Can't wait to see everyone this weekend who can come home for Christmas and love SKYPE.
Teaching orchestra floats my boat. I am tired of choir. I love lessons and seeing how much everyone grows.
I love naps. I love Sunday naps. I love it when I have energy. I love hand and foot and especially when I beat Julie at it. (that only happened once) I love the underdog and I cry during the Olympics, ATand T commercials.
I love T Day and tolerate the Christmas rush. Demands on musicicans is always hard at Christmas and then trying to do everything else really makes us crazy. This year was really nice. Hardly any performances. It was great.
I hate my family living all over the world. I want to win the Lottery so that is not a hardship. Or buy a winnabego to visit them in the driveway like we planned...
I am serious about my food and for Stephen to prepare it. Rule of the house...get what you see now it may be gone later. Although, since everyone has been moving out things stay around longer that I have seen in years except when they all come home of course...

Peggy Hello!

I had a great visit yesterday with a dear collegue who is here visiting for one more day. Peggy Bird and her family took a real adventure to heart and are living in Vacentia, Italy for three years. They have passed the one year mark and I was so glad to hear her voice. She has a blog spot also called Birdhouse...it is great.
Anyway, My thanks to Peggy for her advice and counsel. She is a dear friend, excellent violinist, and beautiful woman.
I was also impressed by her blog which is thoughtful and beautiful. It gave me some ideas I would like to share. Technology has certainly made us very savy. I got to talk in real time to my grandchildren last night through skype, I can post pictures so I don't have to make a Christmas letter this year...we are doing the blog thing...I can email, text message, call from anypoint I want etc. Isn't it amazing how connected we are becoming? Now why don't we connect as human beings and forget the hatred and wars? Seems like an oxymoron to me.

Home and relaxing

We had a scare in our family. John, my brother went in Friday for his chemo and started home with a breathing problem. Well, they turned around and headed back. He was found with a blood clot to the lung. So they put a filter on him, and kept him until Sunday afternoon. My dad and Ro went to see him on Sunday...weather there is bad but they got into Peoria ok and Don picked them up. Hopefully he is feeling better today, Monday, Dec. 3. We hope so...hang in there brother!

We had a great T Day. Stephen cooked...we ate...we got the decos up for Christmas...there were only 13 boxes...the girls helped me and Dallin put the snowman up outside. We still need some lights up but maybe this weekend.
Macy is busy trying to teach DMS flag girls how it is done.
Dallin is busy at the theater with the holiday watchers..
I went and saw August Rush. Don't miss that!
I hear the Enchanted is too funny and worth seeing.
Stephen is on a new night schedule...10pm to 8am Tues-Fri.
We have quilt guild luncheon on Sat.
Merri Celli plays on Friday night at Tuacahn and Sat am at Dickens Festival.

Ryan and Diana are expecting in July. They get married in the frozen winter and deliver in the heat of summer. Poetic Justis!
We are so excited for NUMBER 3 Grandbaby.
Katelain gets married in June and Grandpa Frontone turns 75 this year...What a sweet year 2008.
To Let you know, Annie McGarey passed away Nov. 18th. She was 58 and died of breast cancer. She was my godmother's oldest daughter. So sad to see my colleagues and friends passing on.

Prognosis

Just to let you know, John, my brother is ill with cancer. They operated on him yesterday and found a cyst that was full of liquid. The outside sac was cancerous. It concerns the doctor. He is resting and waiting for a full disclosure of the malady. Please take a moment and offer a prayer in his behalf. I thank Don, my brother for being there and offering comfort to Kathy at this hard time.
