Micah and Sarah are EXCITED!!!!!

CONGRATS MICAH!!!! YOU MADE IT TO IVY LEAGUE!

Let us all call micah and tell him WOW! He will be in Carnegie Mellon out of Pittsburg,,,
Two hours south of Erie, PA! Julie and David are just in heaven!!!!
We meet tonight at the house to celebrate!

Julie tag

I have been tagged and this is the question...what do I say? There were no instructions as to what questions I must answer and so I am at a loss except to say...I love my family. I stay busy. I love to read and am presently reading eat, pray, love by gilbert. I enjoy scrapbooking, traveling, and playing grandma. Can't wait to see everyone this weekend who can come home for Christmas and love SKYPE.
Teaching orchestra floats my boat. I am tired of choir. I love lessons and seeing how much everyone grows.
I love naps. I love Sunday naps. I love it when I have energy. I love hand and foot and especially when I beat Julie at it. (that only happened once) I love the underdog and I cry during the Olympics, ATand T commercials.
I love T Day and tolerate the Christmas rush. Demands on musicicans is always hard at Christmas and then trying to do everything else really makes us crazy. This year was really nice. Hardly any performances. It was great.
I hate my family living all over the world. I want to win the Lottery so that is not a hardship. Or buy a winnabego to visit them in the driveway like we planned...
I am serious about my food and for Stephen to prepare it. Rule of the house...get what you see now it may be gone later. Although, since everyone has been moving out things stay around longer that I have seen in years except when they all come home of course...
Someone hand me the questions and I will answer the ones I missed above. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Peggy Hello!

I had a great visit yesterday with a dear collegue who is here visiting for one more day. Peggy Bird and her family took a real adventure to heart and are living in Vacentia, Italy for three years. They have passed the one year mark and I was so glad to hear her voice. She has a blog spot also called Birdhouse...it is great.
Anyway, My thanks to Peggy for her advice and counsel. She is a dear friend, excellent violinist, and beautiful woman.
I was also impressed by her blog which is thoughtful and beautiful. It gave me some ideas I would like to share. Technology has certainly made us very savy. I got to talk in real time to my grandchildren last night through skype, I can post pictures so I don't have to make a Christmas letter this year...we are doing the blog thing...I can email, text message, call from anypoint I want etc. Isn't it amazing how connected we are becoming? Now why don't we connect as human beings and forget the hatred and wars? Seems like an oxymoron to me.

Our Deepest Fear is not that we are inadequate, by Marianne Williamson, Nelson Mandela incorrectly. A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles, Quotes - Inspir: "“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”"

Home and relaxing

We had a scare in our family. John, my brother went in Friday for his chemo and started home with a breathing problem. Well, they turned around and headed back. He was found with a blood clot to the lung. So they put a filter on him, and kept him until Sunday afternoon. My dad and Ro went to see him on Sunday...weather there is bad but they got into Peoria ok and Don picked them up. Hopefully he is feeling better today, Monday, Dec. 3. We hope so...hang in there brother!

Prognosis

We are asking for everyone to say a prayer on behalf of John for a speedy recovery from his surgery. The prognosis was not as favorable as they had hoped. Please remember him in your prayers for the next few weeks. Thanks so much. We love you JOHN!

John Frontone

Just to let you know, John, my brother is ill with cancer. They operated on him yesterday and found a cyst that was full of liquid. The outside sac was cancerous. It concerns the doctor. He is resting and waiting for a full disclosure of the malady. Please take a moment and offer a prayer in his behalf. I thank Don, my brother for being there and offering comfort to Kathy at this hard time.

May we all be grateful for our blessings this holiday. Happy Thanksgiving. Robin

The sisters!

November breezes

Well, we have had glorious weather lately! It has just been beautiful. The mornings are a cool 50 degrees and the evenings are 70. We had blowing winds last friday to clear out the San Diego fire smoke. The windows are open and the cool air is circulating the house making me feel like the heat is over and the air conditioner can rest a spell.

Poor thing is just worn out. We are in the middle of registering all the kids at school because there is a new HS opening down the way. So we register now instead of in Feb. They can get their numbers done and hire their staff before the year is over.

I am counseling every other day and it has been nothing but a dead run from this to that. There has got to be a light at the end of this tunnel. Maybe we can have the master schedule done well in advance. I am busy getting the recital into shape on Nov. 19th and the Talent Show at school for Dec. 5 and concerts with my Merri Celli group on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Then the final concerts on Dec. 18th. I also play this sunday for RS a Poor Wayfaring for Amy Cluff's lesson. There is a big gig later this month for an anniversary with the quartet.
Tuacahn is over. We had a wonderful visit in Erie with the KeithKlans there. It was great to hold the babies and get run over by Gracie. I am quilting the binding on three quilts for Christmas and they are beautiful. Can't wait to begin some new ones this holiday for next year now.

Everyone is busy and doing well. Our friends opened their restaurant over the weekend. Stephen and Macy are busy helping them. It is a great space with Brazilian food. It is fun to eat the food Stephen did during his mission.
Well, that's all for now. Pics next time. love, mom

Try this again

Summer Pics

Here are our summer pictures at Liberty Park.

Hello Everyone!

Well, the time has come for me to lay down my apprehension about the blog thing and submit. We have had a great fall being able to travel, get school started, finish projects, etc. So here is some pics, info, etc. about us and all of our fun.
Our family is beginning to spread out farther than ever. David and Julie moved to Erie, PA. in July of 07 to go to med school. They have a cute house at the end of I 79 and have just finished remodeling the kitchen which makes their house almost brand new. It was built in 1929 but was completely remodeled by the previous owner except for the kitchen. We helped them put in some IKEA cabinets and it looks great. They are thriving there. So we are excited for them and miss them desperately.
Lindsay is busy at ARUP getting testing coordinates lined up and is considering moving in with a friend after Dec.
She has been on her own in an apartment that she likes but it is always cheaper to get a room mate to share expenses.
Micah and Sarah have enjoyed married life and are busy with teaching school and the office of 3C's consulting.
They are looking for graduate schools in the east for Micah to get an MBA. So they will leave us this summer.

Ryan and Diana are busy with school. Ryan graduates in May with a degree in electrical engineering. He is interviewing for spots across the country and Diana is finished her internship in Nutrition and is working on her masters which is helping them pay the bills as she is doing a fellowship.

Dallin works at the local theater and likes it though, it is not so busy right now. He is on the computer and is considering having Ryan build his own for Christmas.

Macy loves HS and is busy with swim team and flags. She is doing well and likes her classes and classmates.
She is about to enter the world of work and work at a friends' new restaurant this week!
